Seers, a leading wearable artificial intelligence (AI) diagnostic monitoring company, is sharpening its commercial strategy by recruiting a veteran executive from a global pharmaceutical firm. The company announced on June 16 that it has appointed Director Jeong Hoon, formerly of Daiichi Sankyo Korea, to lead initiatives aimed at elevating customer experience and operational quality.
Jeong graduated with a degree in physics from Dongguk University before earning his MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in the United States. Since joining Daiichi Sankyo Korea in 2007, he has amassed nearly 19 years of cross-functional experience spanning sales, marketing, digital content development, and medical affairs, establishing a reputation as a distinguished pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing specialist.
Notably, Jeong directed the marketing and sales strategies for the oral anticoagulant Lixiana®, a vital stroke-prevention therapy for patients diagnosed with atrial fibrillation. Through this role, he cultivated robust professional networks with leading clinicians at major university hospitals and tertiary general hospitals across South Korea.
Leveraging his deep insights into the comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic pathways for arrhythmia patients, Jeong also built extensive experience coordinating closely with hospital clinicians and Daewoong Pharmaceutical, the domestic distributor of the therapy. Seers expects this specialized expertise will significantly enhance its own customer experience frameworks and clinical operating systems.
As its flagship AI inpatient monitoring platform, thynC, enters a rapid market expansion phase, Seers is refining its enterprise strategy. The updated approach shifts focus from merely securing new deployments to systematically managing operational quality and custom clinical experiences across individual medical institutions. This strategic shift follows record-breaking first-quarter financial results, with Seers reporting 32.5 billion won in revenue and 13.9 billion won in operating profit. Concurrently, the number of medical institutions adopting the thynC platform has officially surpassed 200.
Against this backdrop of rapid commercial growth, Seers aims to continuously optimize its client onboarding and interface management through the recruitment of Jeong, who brings an intimate understanding of clinical environments alongside a broad hospital network. The high-profile appointment underscores the strategic emphasis the company places on fortifying thynC's real-world operational capabilities.
The thynC platform is rapidly evolving into a comprehensive medical AI ecosystem. Moving far beyond basic vital-sign monitoring, it now integrates advanced features such as real-time AI anomaly detection, clinical early warning scores (EWS), and automated fall detection. By expanding its operational footprint into South Korea's premier tertiary general medical centers, including the nation's prominent "Big 5" hospitals, the platform continues to solidify its leadership position in the domestic inpatient monitoring market.
"For thynC to solidify its role as essential medical AI infrastructure rather than just a newly adopted piece of technology, it must function as a platform that clinical teams trust and rely on daily," Jeong noted. "Through the strategic rollout of the 'thynC Connected Hub,' which systematically monitors operational quality and clinical feedback across individual institutions, we intend to forge enduring, high-value partnerships with our adopting hospitals."
