Understanding the Role of Fat and Saturated Fat

Rather than assuming these are inherently "healthier" for everyone, it is more practical to choose based on your personal digestive sensitivity and budget.

The Importance of Vitamin D and Sodium

While milk is a famous source of calcium—providing roughly 200–250mg per cup—its effectiveness depends on absorption. For those focused on preventing osteoporosis, it is wise to look for milk fortified with Vitamin D, which is essential for calcium uptake.

Surprisingly, milk also contains small amounts of sodium. While negligible in plain milk, sodium levels can spike in certain processed or flavored varieties. Ultimately, the "answer" to the best milk isn't found in a brand name or a catchy slogan, but in the fine print of the ingredient label.
