Barre Exercise Good for Calorie Burning and Body Shaping

Kim Bin-woo has previously shared her routine of exercising and managing her diet for body maintenance. Among them, the exercise she chose, 'barre', combines ballet movements with Pilates, yoga, and strength training. By relying on the ballet bar to perform various movements, one can gain various benefits such as strength enhancement, increased flexibility, and improved posture.

Doing barre can burn about 300 to 500 calories in an hour. If done consistently, it can also improve cardiovascular endurance, leading to enhanced physical fitness. In particular, it helps to shape the body by increasing muscular endurance in the inner thighs, hips, abdomen, and calves.

However, if one excessively twists the pelvis or maintains a bent waist while performing the movements, it can lead to pain, so it is advisable to receive guidance from an instructor in the beginning. Additionally, due to the nature of the exercise that keeps the muscles contracted, if one does not stretch sufficiently after exercising, stiffness and fatigue may linger.

Burata Cheese and Arugula Salad Rich in Protein and Dietary Fiber

Meanwhile, Kim Bin-woo recently posted a video on her SNS making a salad and explaining the recipe. She topped arugula with tomatoes and burrata cheese, then finished it with white balsamic, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Among the salad ingredients, arugula is rich in antioxidants and vitamin K, which helps reduce inflammation and promote vascular health. The antioxidant lycopene found in tomatoes is fat-soluble, so its absorption rate increases when consumed with olive oil.

Burrata cheese and parmesan cheese provide protein and calcium, enhancing satiety and flavor. However, since adding a lot of cheese can increase sodium and saturated fat intake, it is best to use salt minimally.

If you want to boost protein further, you can add chicken breast or grilled salmon. Ingredients like chickpeas or lentils can increase plant-based protein and dietary fiber. Including a small amount of nuts can help with satiety and blood sugar stability. However, since olive oil and cheese are already included, it is advisable to add nuts in moderation, keeping it to less than a handful.
