Comprehensive healthcare solutions company SCL Group announced on the 28th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Indonesia’s National Central Hospital, RSCM (RSUP Cipto Mangunkusumo), to cooperate in medical services and diagnostics. The agreement marks the first collaboration in laboratory medicine between a Korean medical institution and Indonesia’s leading national central hospital.
SCL Group expects the agreement to serve as a catalyst for expanding cooperation with local medical institutions and accelerating the buildout of a healthcare network across Southeast Asia. The two organizations will prioritize cooperation and exchanges in the following areas: △advanced diagnostics, including early multi-cancer screening and genetic testing △AI-based early-detection solutions △shared use of medical equipment such as MRI and CT △mid- to long-term overseas business initiatives, including K-Healthcare, laboratory medicine (LAB), and IT platforms.
Hanaro Medical Foundation, an affiliate of SCL Group, currently operates a health screening center, K-LAB, through its local subsidiary in Indonesia. SCL Group said, “In Indonesia’s healthcare market, services focused on early diagnosis and preventive medicine are in high demand,” adding, “As commercialization gains momentum, we expect revenue models to take shape across a range of areas, including diagnostic testing services, health screening programs, and data-driven healthcare platforms.”
Lee Kyung-ryul, Chairman of SCL Group, said, “This agreement will serve as a foundation for expanding the healthcare network across Southeast Asia beyond Indonesia,” and added, “Through cooperation with RSCM, we will further strengthen health and medical collaboration between Korea and Indonesia and continue to expand locally tailored medical services.”
