Stray Kids member Felix has donated 100 million KRW each to Seoul National University (SNU) Children’s Hospital and Samsung Medical Center on his birthday to help cover treatment costs for pediatric patients from low-income families.
SNU Children’s Hospital and Samsung Medical Center announced on September 15 that Felix made the contributions to assist young patients suffering from severe, rare, and intractable diseases, as well as pediatric cancer and leukemia. The funds will directly support children who require long-term medical care, repeated diagnostic testing, and complex surgical procedures.
Relieving Financial Strain for Families Facing Prolonged Illness
Severe pediatric conditions place a heavy economic burden on families beyond direct medical bills. Prolonged hospitalizations and ongoing outpatient care generate additional costs for caregiving, travel, and daily living expenses, often compounded by a loss of household income when guardians must stop working to care for a sick child. The donation aims to help families navigate these financial challenges so young patients can continue receiving uninterrupted treatment.
Part of a 300 Million KRW Total Birthday Initiative
The 200 million KRW given to the two Seoul hospitals forms the core of a broader 300 million KRW birthday initiative Felix distributed across multiple domestic and international organizations. Alongside the medical contributions, he delivered 50 million KRW each to the Books International Association and the UNICEF Korea Committee.
Felix has maintained a steady commitment to supporting children and adolescents. Since 2024, he has contributed regularly through international organizations such as UNICEF and World Vision, and on his birthday in 2025, he similarly funded medical care for young patients and assisted adolescent carers.
“I hope that many children’s days can be filled with clear hope rather than worry,” Felix said. “I sincerely hope this can be a small but warm source of strength for these children’s precious today and tomorrow.”
