Winter, a member of the global K-pop group aespa under SM Entertainment, has made a generous donation to Samsung Medical Center.
On the 19th, Samsung Medical Center announced that Winter contributed 100 million won to the "Samsung Medical Center Patient Happiness Fund." The donation is earmarked to assist patients facing significant financial hardship, reducing the burden of medical expenses so they can focus entirely on their treatment and rehabilitation.
In a statement regarding her contribution, Winter said, “I hope this can be even a small help for the treatment and recovery of patients who are going through financial difficulties.” She added, “I sincerely support you and hope you can return to a healthy daily life.”
This is not the first time the singer has demonstrated her commitment to philanthropy. Last year, Winter donated 100 million won to the Korean Red Cross to support victims of wildfires in the Yeongnam region. Her history of charitable giving also includes joint efforts with her fellow aespa members to support firefighting and relief activities following a fire in Hong Kong, as well as donating concert proceeds to aid victims of wildfires in Los Angeles.
