Influencer Choi Jun-hee, daughter of the late legendary actress Choi Jin-sil, has opened up about her recent experience with plastic surgery as she prepares for a new chapter in her life. Known for her candidness regarding her health and personal life, Choi recently shared a detailed recovery vlog on her YouTube channel titled, "Want to Make Your Eyes & Under-Eye Area Beautiful? (I want to live the best version of my life...)."

In the video, Choi appeared shortly after undergoing under-eye fat repositioning and lower eyelid restoration. Despite visible swelling, she maintained her characteristic transparency. "It feels more dizzying since it’s been a while since my last surgery," she remarked, noting that her entire face felt "plump," particularly her lips. By the second day, which she described as the peak of her swelling, Choi compared the discomfort to her previous struggles with lupus, diligently applying ice packs to manage the inflammation.

A month after the procedure, the results were evident. Choi expressed high satisfaction, noting that the dark circles under her eyes had lightened and the added volume gave her a "softer, more approachable" look. "The restoration of the lower eyelid has made my eyes rounder," she said. "I feel my impression has become gentler compared to before."

This aesthetic transition comes at a pivotal time. On the 16th, Choi announced her upcoming marriage on social media. Reflecting on her childhood, she shared, "Family has always been a difficult word for me. After a childhood filled with sadness, I vowed to create a warm fence someday." She added that she looks forward to living a "stronger and warmer life" as a wife.

Understanding Under-Eye Fat Repositioning and Restoration

The procedures Choi underwent are common choices for those seeking a refreshed, less "tired" appearance. Under-eye fat repositioning involves redistributing protruding fat to fill in hollow areas and smooth out the lower eyelid. This is particularly effective for structural dark circles caused by shadows. For younger patients with minimal skin sagging, surgeons often use a conjunctival approach—making incisions inside the eyelid to avoid external scarring.

Choi also underwent eye corner restoration, a reconstructive procedure often used to correct over-extended or "sharp" eye shapes from previous surgeries. By returning the eye corner to a more natural anatomical position, the gaze appears softer and less aggressive.

Surgical Timeline: Planning for a Wedding

For those considering similar procedures before a major event like a wedding, experts advise a conservative recovery timeline. While major swelling typically subsides within a week, residual swelling can persist for one to three months. Complete tissue stabilization usually takes three to six months.

Effective post-operative care is crucial for achieving the best results. As Choi demonstrated, cold compresses are essential for the first 48 to 72 hours to constrict blood vessels and limit bruising. After the initial three days, warm compresses help promote circulation to clear away lingering bruises. Surgeons also recommend elevating the head during sleep, maintaining a low-salt diet, and engaging in light walking to encourage lymphatic drainage while avoiding strenuous exercise or saunas for at least a month.
