GC Green Cross announced on the 24th that it has completed its employee-participation social contribution campaign, "Sori Dream," providing recorded storybooks to children who experience difficulty reading printed books.

First launched last year, the Sori Dream initiative relies on employees donating their time and voices to create narrated audiobooks for children from multicultural backgrounds, children with visual impairments, and other underserved youth in the community.

This year’s campaign drew 30 employees from multiple group affiliates, including GC, GC Green Cross, and GC Cell. After receiving vocalization and pronunciation training from a professional voice actor, participants divided into assigned roles, rehearsed, and recorded 12 children’s storybooks.

The recordings will be professionally edited and pre-loaded onto dedicated playback devices. The finalized audiobooks are scheduled for delivery to the Yongin City Family Center alongside 60 physical storybooks.

"It is deeply meaningful that our employees' voices can offer emotional comfort and cultural benefits to children in the local community," said Kang Ji-hoon of GC's general affairs team, who helped coordinate the initiative. "We will continue to expand programs that contribute to local community development by leveraging the diverse talents of our staff."

In addition to Sori Dream, GC and its affiliates operate several ongoing corporate social responsibility initiatives, including matching grants for employee contributions, a year-end campaign donating 1 percent of salaries, and programs allowing staff to donate leftover salary change.
