The 5th "What’s New in Robotics Surgery" symposium, an event dedicated to the latest trends in computer-assisted orthopedic surgery (CAOS), will be held on May 30 at the Paradise City Hotel on Yeongjong Island, Incheon. The symposium offers a comprehensive look at how robotic and digital surgical technologies are becoming established in orthopedic clinical practice.
Orthopedic specialists from across South Korea will gather to discuss clinical experiences and emerging surgical trends in joint replacement, spine surgery, and robotic procedures. Core topics include:

Among the scheduled sessions, a presentation by Ha Yong-chan, Director of Academic Research at Seoul Bumin Hospital, is drawing significant interest. Director Ha will present a comparative analysis of MAKO, a leading global system for robot-assisted joint replacement, and CUVIS, a domestically developed robotic system. Drawing on hands-on experience, he will explain the surgical approaches, scope of application, and clinical differences between the two systems.

The event is jointly organized by the Korean Society for Computer-Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery, led by President Lee Han-joon, and the Bumin Hospital Group, led by Chairman Jung Heung-tae.
