When skin begins to sag and lose its glow, many people attribute the change solely to declining collagen. However, skin aging is deeply tied to broader structural changes within the extracellular matrix (ECM)—the vital framework supporting skin integrity.
Addressing this paradigm shift, GC Green Cross Wellbeing announced Sept. 4 that it held the "GCELLE Rebonne Philippines Launch Commemorative Symposium" on Aug. 21 at Shangri-La The Fort in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Manila. The event marked the official debut of "GCELLE Rebonne," a next-generation skin booster, in the Philippine market.
Co-hosted by GC Green Cross Wellbeing (CEO Kim Sang-hyun) and global distributor JD Bio Co. (CEO Kim Jin-dong), the symposium briefed Philippine medical professionals on the product's clinical profile and demonstrated Korean combination-treatment protocols. Dr. Min A-rim, director of Min & Min Clinic, served as the key speaker.
Direct Dermal Support Beyond Traditional Collagen Stimulators
Dr. Min positioned GCELLE Rebonne as an evolutionary step beyond traditional skin boosters based on hyaluronic acid, polynucleotides (PN/PDRN), poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA/PDLLA), and synthetic collagen. She explained that while PN/PDRN boosters act by stimulating host cells to indirectly produce collagen, ECM boosters directly supply structural dermal components, including intact collagen and elastin. Rather than temporarily replenishing volume, GCELLE Rebonne provides a biological foundation that helps the skin repair and rebuild itself.
Min emphasized that clinicians should avoid attempting to address every sign of aging with a single procedure. Instead, she advised combining ultrasound lifting, radiofrequency, fillers, and lasers based on individual patient needs—such as laxity, volume loss, enlarged pores, scarring, and uneven tone. Within this framework, GCELLE Rebonne enhances the skin's regenerative environment to elevate overall tissue quality. Her overarching message underscored that aesthetic medicine should focus on restoring natural biological function rather than merely altering outward appearance.
Advanced Biocompatibility and Southeast Asian Expansion
GC Green Cross Wellbeing manufactures GCELLE Rebonne using donated human tissue processed under strict donor screening guidelines certified by the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB). Utilizing a proprietary, surfactant-free decellularization technology, the process removes cellular antigens and immune-triggering factors while preserving extracellular architecture. Residual nucleic acids are maintained below 50 ppm, and the product achieved a 98.9% cell viability rate in cytotoxicity evaluations.
Engineered with uniform microparticles, the formulation prevents needle clogging even when administered through ultra-fine 32G and 34G micro-needles standard in aesthetic practice, enhancing injection precision while minimizing patient discomfort.

As the flagship offering under the GCELLE brand, GCELLE Rebonne is an ECM booster based on human tissue-derived acellular dermal matrix (hADM). Following its domestic launch in South Korea in March and an export agreement with Japan in April, the Manila symposium serves as a pivotal step into the Southeast Asian market.
"This symposium offered an ideal platform to demonstrate the clinical efficacy and versatility of GCELLE Rebonne to healthcare leaders in the Philippines," a GC Green Cross Wellbeing official said. "In close collaboration with our business partner JD Bio, we will continue expanding our global network and strengthening our presence across the Southeast Asian medical aesthetics sector."
