To mark its 100th anniversary, Yuhan Corp. has released a limited-edition set of Elena, its premier women’s health functional food brand, packaged specifically as a 100-capsule edition.
Yuhan Corp. announced on the 19th that it has launched the "Elena Planning Set" to commemorate the landmark occasion. The package includes 100 Elena capsules alongside a premium leather-finish portable hand mirror featuring an engraved "ELENA" logo.
Founded in 1926 by Yu Il-han, Yuhan Corp. celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. To symbolise the historic milestone, the company set the count of the commemorative package at exactly 100 capsules.
Elena is a probiotic health functional food specifically formulated for women’s vaginal health, utilizing UREX probiotics as its core active ingredient.
According to Yuhan Corp., Elena was the first probiotic product in South Korea to receive official regulatory recognition for its efficacy in supporting women’s vaginal health.
Food Safety Korea designated the UREX probiotics used in Elena as an individually approved functional ingredient in July 2014. Its officially recognized function is to "help promote the growth of beneficial bacteria and suppress harmful bacteria in the vagina."
The UREX probiotic formulation consists of two distinct strains: Lactobacillus rhamnosus GR-1 and Lactobacillus reuteri RC-14.
In addition to its flagship Elena product, Yuhan Corp. offers a diversified lineup, including "Elena Theanine," which incorporates theanine; "Elena Queen," tailored for middle-aged women; and "Elena Stick," designed for convenient, portable intake.
The 100th-anniversary planning set will be sold in limited quantities through GS SHOP and Yuhan Corp.’s official online store.
To support the release, the company has organized several launch promotions. GS SHOP will offer discount deals and promotional giveaways, while Yuhan Corp.’s official online store will hold a prize drawing for buyers as well as a best-review contest.
