Daiso is increasingly becoming a go-to shopping destination for foreign tourists visiting South Korea, as word spreads that travelers can pick up a wide variety of items under one roof at budget-friendly prices. Driven by expanding global interest in weight management and healthier eating habits, diet-focused products are also drawing strong attention among international shoppers.

Against this backdrop, South Korea’s health supplement industry is increasingly leveraging Daiso’s extensive retail footprint to introduce K-diet products. SkinnyLab, a diet-focused brand under health functional food company Health Balance, recently launched "V-Rex PressPop Multivitamin"—a Daiso-exclusive product—through its secondary brand, V-Rex by SkinnyLab.

Available on the Daiso online mall and at physical stores nationwide, V-Rex PressPop Multivitamin comes in apple and grape flavors. Both varieties are sold in four-capsule packs priced at 5,000 won each.

The product utilizes "PopCap" technology—a Korean-patented innovation that won two beverage manufacturing technology innovation awards at major international food expos, including SIAL Paris and SIAL Jakarta. Designed to make vitamin consumption seamless, the cap attaches to the mouth of a standard plastic bottle containing 500 milliliters or less of still or sparkling water. When the user presses the top of the cap and shakes the bottle, the vitamins stored inside dissolve directly into the water. This cap design also shields vitamins—which are naturally sensitive to light, temperature, and humidity—from external exposure until consumption.

The vitamin formulation varies by flavor. The apple option contains eight essential vitamins: vitamins A, D, and E, alongside five B-complex vitamins (B1, B2, niacin, pantothenic acid, and B6). The grape option provides seven vitamins: vitamins A, D, and E, plus four B-complex vitamins (B1, niacin, pantothenic acid, and B6).

Each serving contains just 13 to 15 calories, making it easy to consume without dietary burden. One cap delivers 250% of the daily recommended intake for vitamin D, while niacin, pantothenic acid, and B-complex vitamins each supply 200%. Natural sweetness is derived from real apple and grape juice concentrates, with no high-fructose corn syrup, preservatives, or artificial food coloring added. Additionally, the products contain 0% fat, saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol, and sodium.

"Through an accessible retail channel like Daiso, consumers can easily try our product at an affordable price point," said an official from SkinnyLab.
