6th Proud Specialist Hospital Award to Director Lee Sang-deok of Hana Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital

The Korean Association of Specialist Hospitals (President Yoon Seong-hwan) announced on the 19th that Director Lee Sang-deok of Hana Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital has been selected for the 6th 'KJ International Proud Specialist Hospital Award'.

Director Lee has served as the 4th president of the Korean Association of Specialist Hospitals for three years since 2021 and is currently the honorary president.

The association explained that Director Lee was selected for significantly contributing to the establishment of the association's organizational structure.

During his tenure as the 4th president, Director Lee is credited with improving the designation criteria and operational system for specialist hospitals and establishing a Digital Innovation Committee, thereby restructuring the association in a future-oriented manner.

Director Lee stated, "For our country's healthcare system to normalize, specialist hospitals, which play a pivotal role, must grow in both the quality of care and service to gain the trust of the public," and added, "I will continue to dedicate myself to the development of the specialist hospital system."

Specialist hospitals are medical institutions that perform complex medical procedures in specific diseases or medical fields, designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
